2007
Neographics Power of Print Competition
More than 300 printers and industry suppliers from
around the greater Delaware Valley flocked to the
Crystal Tea Room in the Wanamaker Building Thursday,
May 3rd for the 36th annual Neographics awards gala
sponsored by the Graphic Arts Association (GAA).
General
Press, Natrona Heights, PA, beat out nearly 400
entries to capture the coveted Power of Print award
for printing Akzo Nobel's 2007 calendar. The calendar
was designed by Steve Mobley. |

Premier Print Awards
Winners of the Premier Print Awards, the prestigious
international print competition, have been announced.
From an impressive body of entries comprised of
nearly 5000 entries from 15 countries, judges made
their selections.
General
Press earned an "Award of Recognition"
and two "Certificates of Merit" in the
competition. The 2003 AKZO Nobel calendar was awarded
in two separate categories, Stochastic Screening
and Calendars, and Le Nature's Water for Labels-Cut
& Stack Sheetfed. |

2002
WPPA Awards
In 2002, General Press was awarded the "Judges
Award" by the Western Pennsylvania Printing
Association for a patriotic poster produced after
the 9/11 attacks on America (see left). A copy of
this poster is available upon
request. This Judges Award is the highest level
of recognition at this annual event. In addition,
General Press won seven "Best of Category"
and thirty two Honorable Mentions.
1993
Premier Print Awards
General Press is a past recipient of the Printing
Industries of America "Premier Print Awards,"
also know as the "Bennys." We received
this very prestigious award in 1993 for a booklet
commemorating the opening of the new Greater Pittsburgh
International Airport (see above right).
